Microsoft Windows: Insecure by Design
While I like to focus on why FOSS products are good, once in a while we need to remember why Microsoft (and most proprietary software) is so bad.
This article from the Washington Post does a good job of explaining why Misrosoft OSes are so vulnerable, in comparison to the FOSS alternatives - MAC OS X and Linux. This is a good time to point out that the underlying engine of the MAC OS X is a FOSS operating system.
My favorite quote:
In its default setup, Windows XP on the Internet
amounts to a car parked in a bad part of town,
with the doors unlocked, the key in the ignition
and a Post-It note on the dashboard saying,
"Please don't steal this."
